Our founder, Andrea Wetsel, never set out to reinvent sunscreen – she just wanted to make it safer and easier. As a mom of two active young daughters, Andrea was always on high alert when it came to sun protection. She knew sunscreen was important, but getting her kids to wear it was a constant battle. And then, things got even more complicated when her oldest daughter developed an allergy to chemical sunscreens. Andrea realized she didn’t know enough about what she had been putting on their skin.
Determined to find a safer solution, Andrea started researching what’s really in sunscreen – and what she found was concerning. Many popular formulas contained harsh chemicals that were absorbed into the skin and posed risks to both health and the environment. But skipping sunscreen wasn’t an option either. She needed a reliable, safe, and easy-to-use solution.
